TPS Sensor light on with a green service wrench in the dash board

Hey all, my TPS light is on, along with a green service wrench in my 2011 Maserati Gran Tourismo S Coupe. I'm assuming I need new TPS sensors. I checked the tire pressure and it's good plus tried to reset the TPS system but the two warning lights won't go off.

Do I have to bring this to a Maserati dealer to replace the sensors, reset the system turn off the lights? Or can any good tire shop do that. My mechanic has the (supposed) $75,000 scanner but he's pricey. I'd prefer to go to a local good tire shop? Also, do I have to buy the Maserati TPS sensors to properly work in my car or can any TPS sensors work? I'd be super grateful for some help with this

What's the message? If it's TPMS failure you need a new TPMS ECU, they fail all the time, about 3/400 quid, easy to fit yourself if you have the tools, ie spanners/rachets with alligator bends and small fingers. Access (in UK) is under driver footwell. They don't need the the SD3 scanner to setup - it just finds it. I've been through two of them, mines not working again, I'm just living with it, not worth it.

Service spanner (not wrench here!) just means you are due a service, not connected with the TPMS failure.

Wow, thanks for these great answers. Can I srill ask you a few more questions like: How do I tell what the message is beyond seeing the TPS light lit up? Is it possible I just need TPS sensors as opposed to the ECU? And if I need the TPS module, where do I get it? Do I have to go to the dealer? Or can any good tire shop provide one? Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

I'm speaking from a QP perspective and that gives the error on the little screen between the speedo and rev counter. Mine says 'TPMS Failure'. the other messages are shown in the owners manual. You'll need to read the message shown there to diagnose the issue. If the sensor(s) have failed you'll get a different message.

The ECU is a dealer part shared with Ferrari and Bentley I think, about 300/400 pounds sterling, though you may be lucky and find a second hand one.
