Would like to say I also have a P0103 code which indicates a high voltage for the MAF sensor, since both the MAF and lambda have high voltages could the problem be from an electrical component like the alternator?
I think the cars might be done as the car has a foul smell at the front when running for a while, it also rattles a bit from undeneath at slow speeds but that might be due to the worn mounts/bushings which I have but not fitted yet.
The shop recommended changing the cat among other things but I’m not taking their word on it just yet, I’ve got two bad coils(cylinders 1 and 5) but I can’t figure out which cylinder uses a front or rear coil as they’re different parts.
So why did they decide to use two different coil packs if they are functionally the same?
Would it look odd if I used the longer wire one at the front cylinders?
Always made me laugh this. Only Maserati could specify 2 different coil packs on the same engine for purely aesthetic reasons especially, as Zep says, when the wires are hidden under a cover. Even more Maserati is to then have one of the two part numbers 'no longer stocked'!Because they wanted shorter wires on the front cylinders.
This is what I had done on my 4200 when the Cats collapsed.
Well, this was the second job as the first one was a total abortion!

That looks very nice - mind sharing how much it cost and who/where made it, please?
