Seems that if you’re 70 they’re gonna start giving boosters.

Wonder if they’ll mix n match?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Myself and Mrs 1963 are embarking on our 1 hour road trip to York for our first Jabs. Might even be really adventurous and come back via Sheffield, a nice Ghibli has come up for sale, so going to give them a call and see if I can view. Let’s see what happens.

Arms are back to normal, felt like I'd been to the gym! Just the sore throat, painful, and the one side, node swollen. Hopefully will subside, had vaccination on the 25th. Took me by surprise, as I don't usually react to anything, or even get colds much.

Had mine Thursday 11 am. Was shivering with fever during the night, woke up Friday with a fussy head, sore arm and felling fairly ropey. Just about feeling ok this morning.. 95%.
Ive had flu jabs before but this COVID jab definitely hit me.

All done although we got the wrong day. We should of been there yesterday. So both stood there looking fairly silly. However they were great and wizzed us through. No trip to look at the Ghibli as my mum had a fall this morning so had to shoot round there. She’s alright though just a sore arm. She’s a tough old bird for 83.

Having worked for a solid 4 months on NHS staff vaccinations (helping ensure we had as high a take up amongst front line staff as possible) and now we have hit 98% take up for front line staff, with all areas bar London and the midlands up around 100%, I thought it about time I finally got round to having mine done.
Surprised at how busy the Elland road vaccination centre was on a Sunday morning. In and out in about 15 minutes, absolutely no complaints about speed and service. Oxford AZ for me and second dose booked for June.
Better half is a junior doc and has now had both doses (Pfizer). She was horrendously ill first time round (like a 24 hour bout of covid) but seemed to tolerate the second much better. I’m a bit apprehensive and have taken a precautionary day off tomorrow (well that’s what I’ve told the wife, in reality I hope to be well enough to give the GT it’s first wash in my ownership:p)
It’s a small price to pay to be protected from having the dreaded illness again. Talk of boosters back end of September for those who had their first dose last year. Work also happening to see if we can ‘bundle’ flu and covid jabs together for maximum protection ahead of the next winter.

Well done, I had the Tizer one and absolutely no reaction or side effects at all, same with the wife.

Good to know re second dose, although I realise it will effect everyone differently. I'm still struggling after mine on Thursday, just a swollen gland in neck and a sore throat. Aches have subsided though which is good.

I had my first in January and had a bit of a sore arm the next day, otherwise fine. I will be getting my second jab on Wednesday. My first one was the Pfizer so assume the second one will be. Quite happy to get it tbh.

Hope you feel better real soon - my wife was really quite unwell for 4/5 days - but it has to be worth it.

Had mine on Saturday. Oxford, splitting headache , chills and totally drained the next day. Still having been last to bed at many Le Mans parties I am used to feeling close to death and still being alive.

I’ve got mine this aft, I will try to channel the Le Mans spirit if I feel bad, wondering around the garden trying to remember my name.
