Pretty sure we were the only people on the planet to see two Ocelots today. They’re nocturnal and rarely bother to come out. We had the zoo where my wife works to ourselves. Gave the QP GTS its first trip out this year too.41A58193-2FA0-4BD6-9146-B5903B519C58.jpeg

Opel fired up after 3 years no bother
That looks lovely- proper old cars always start ;)
I am confident that my 65 Mustang will start first turn of the key, even though it’s been sat in a damp lock up since November.
Seeing yours has motivated me to get her out this weekend

My old car started first time in November, by December it had cost me 4K, I suppose that’s old cars for you. No one to blame but myself for keeping it on the road.

These guys seemed surprised to see humans. Made us wonder if we’d be on the other side of the fence in years to come.

Also came within a foot of a critically endangered pigeon. Candy stole the show - one of only eighteen pink pigeons in zoos worldwide - six pairs in the wild.

And I thought Masers were rare 7678407A-47FE-4446-88AE-7BEAAE9C6F9D.jpegAAC01B4F-C891-44B8-8A4F-957619638AA3.jpeg6777B5AA-EA65-4837-8659-2B4CB70DF176.jpeg

What a coincidence. Been reading about the pink pidgeons in Mauritius (as you do in lockdown when you are plotting your escape to a paradise island). Slightly more populous than their blue pidgeon cousins who are now no more. The pink survived (just) it seems, They gorged themselved on some sort of narcotic berry when it's in season, which made them stoned and easy to catch for pidgeon pie. Trouble is it also made them toxic too, so pink pidgeon pie was off the menu. However it seems it took a while for people to figure this out so they almost went the way of the dodo and blue pidegon too.

I'll stick with the Ocelots

Yep. They were special. It was a totally weird experience being viewed by the penguins, giraffes, lions and even the rhinos. Apparently it will take a few weeks after visitors are allowed back before they just get on with their own thing.

Yeah, but you couldn’t eat a whole one....

Carnivores are not meant to be good eating.

Makes sense. An interesting situation that I guess we've never found ourselves in.

Love that Opel. I think I know where a pic of mine survived, if I find it, I'll post.
Catman loves the Ocelots.. who would have thought?
