Works for the health service in some management capacity ...........................sorta says it all really Wattie .....................and before your about reply about how good our health service coped during the so called super hyped pandemic ...........................I think South Sudans coped equally aswell and they havent got one to speak of per capita that is ..................as did Uganda and Kenya
I’m not gonna reply that at all.
I wasn’t there to see it and by all accounts it couldn’t cope....hence lockdowns to assist.

Well I can't work it out.
My house sale still dragging it's feet.
Solicitors and agent tell me it's because of Covid-19 and people working from home etc etc.
Costing me money as Council tax up 5% and no discount on an empty house.
Told them how quick Capes moved during Covid.
Becoming a bit of a farce for me now.
That working from home because of Covid excuse really p**ses me off.

My son has same trying to buy.
I’ve told him to get on their case every day.

The rules have always been the same, work from home if you can, but if you can’t do your work from home YOU SHOULD BE AT WORK!.

I threatened to change law firms because service levels dropped significantly due to home working - they soon sorted themselves out as we spent £1m plus pa.

Still struggle with government departments though.

Seems some Governments have now decided to use their Human population as lab rats.

Countries mix vaccines in patients to avoid second AstraZeneca dose
Germany and France both say that mixing two types of coronavirus vaccine can be effective. They are recommending that some who took a first dose of AstraZeneca get a different second shot. Several countries are dialing back use of the AstraZeneca shot, fearing very rare but dangerous blood clots. See more stories on Insider's business page.

Read in Business Insider: https://apple.news/AQVdBQjMPR2a7gUSs07LUBQ

Normally I’d say that you can’t make this sh1t up, yet that’s exactly what Governments are now doing!!!!!

A vaccine that went through ( apparently thorough) testing, is now declared unsafe in certain scenarios by many around the world.
A ‘mix n match’ approach that has never been tested is now declared safe!

Wtsf.

“The World Health Organisation on Friday said there was no data to recommend that countries "mix and match" COVID-19 vaccines”

Not PCS legal by anychance Phil , we bought and sold through them last year , right shower of shiiiite , buyer and seller using them and they still couldnt get it right , Offices in Basildon just 4metres apart ,threatened them with legal action in the end and they gave me a director as my new Co-ordinater , worked a little smoother after that but 6 months on i still havent got the deeds. Whole process was 5 months ........................i was completing within 6 weeks when everything was still postal or manual .....................computerisation has had an adverse effect i reckon or the standards for conveyancing has gone down the pan

Conveyancing has done down the pan because the aggressive cost cutting of the past 25 years has resulted in a sector of legal services that relies on insurance rather than competence. Why worry of things are right when the insurer will compensate the client if things go wrong or more usually only when someone realises things have gone wrong. I see plenty of mistakes that have passed unnoticed in several sales until a more diligent solicitor notices a problem.

Who pays more in estate agent's commission than in conveyancing fees?

As to you waiting for title deeds, these no longer exist for registered land in most cases as the registered title dispenses with the need. It is not uncommon that the registration of the title takes many months, but that will usually be because the conveyancer has failed to lodge the required documents with the Land Registry.

The Land Registry's service has been impacted during the pandemic but I believe is pretty much back up to speed. It is a service that I would ordinarily commend as doing a good job.

I think foreign travel is unlikely this summer for many countries

I was just reading the Italian government is concerned their rise in cases could be due to the mafia controling the supply of vaccines in certain areas of the country

I think Spain might make it, but what about France, moved into the top six.

Rules for outdoor space say 50% has to be open to fresh air, but it seems to me lots of places look fully enclosed or are sheds with double doors.

Fine if it’s one household but against the spirit of things if not, and if the science is correct won’t be helpful to infection rate, people may as well be in doors.

One can only hope people are sensible and remember it’s not just outside, but it’s socially distanced as well.

It's a great shame, Phil. What surprises me is how easy it is to work around the rules. For example, a colleague based in Paris is a US citizen with a French husband. Yesterday they had planned on leaving for a holiday in Florida. One child tested +ve for COVID, so the wife will stay at home for another week while the husband and other child head to the US. Wife and +ve child will try again next week.

Not so much getting around them more like simply not following them, they should all be in isolation -
but at least they are leaving the Country rather than coming in o_O

Personally, I would just not go on holiday leaving my wife at home to look after a child with covid. Suppose people just have different priorities. The wife might also have it by tomorrow, who knows. In fact quite likely she will, if in close contact. Which you really can’t ovoid with kids, hope she doesn’t but It’s something I would definitely have considered before going off on holiday!
