GT-S bonnet movement at speed?

Hi Guys,
Has anybody else noticed a bouncing movement of the bonnet, over the wheel arches at the outer edge of the bonnet, at speeds over 70 mph?
I was hammering down the French motorways to our house in France and noticed the outer edge of my bonnet bouncing up and down... slightly disconcerting. I once had the entire bonnet on a TVR 400SE flip open at speed on a motorway and completely block the windscreen... a real brown trouser moment, so when I see a bonnet flapping I get ever so slightly nervous you understand..
I have looked underneath the bonnet and everything seems in order, can’t understand why it would do this but clearly it must be wind flow... it is not from a poor road surface... it does it on all motorways.. UK (crappy roads) or smooth euro tarmac.
Any ideas chaps?
Thanks all.

PS the French do love a Maser... the amount of people following me around, right up my bumper, is unbelievable.

They all do it.
Note the little rubber elbows in the gutter on the tops of the wings under the bonnet. You could add a few more to steady it.

Thank you so much for putting my mind to rest Matt. I’ll have a look into that but at least I know it’s a fact and nothing to worry about... I had bad visions in my dreams o_O

It's not something I've noticed to be honest.
But if matt says they all do it, then I'd be inclined to believe him. Lol.

Out of interest, are all your underbody covers fitted?

The roof of my ‘69 Spitfire once decided to come undone at speed. The wind caught it and the very solid steel front rail whacked me square in the head. Felt like I had birds flapping around my head like in the cartoons. On another occasion the bonnet lifted up. Even though it was a front-hinged clamshell some weird wind thing caused it to lift very slowly lift up in front of me. As you say, brown trouser time!

Maybe not all but both the GT’s have done it.

yeah, i noticed the same with heavy winds. I was quite surprised as well. I guess the mc ones won't have this problem with the vents. Would be nice if someone with an MC could chime in.
