There's a quite boring Panorama programme on the iPlayer about Coke's plan to recycle an empty plastic bottle, for every one they sell. Because being single use containers, they are particularly wasteful and polluting. I believe our rubbish is now to be seen at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. 36,000 ft under water and the deepest known place in the oceans. Can't recall the figure exactly. But worldwide, Coke sells something like 750,000,000 plastic bottled products every year. Across all carbonated and non-carbonated products.
Maybe now that McDonald's has automated their ordering. They will send their under employed humans into the sewers to find the 'processed' Big Macs and recycle them into patties. Problem is. How will we know the difference
between the meat patty and the recycled patty.
