Probably not to everybody's taste but its the owner's interpretation of a roadgoing Open Cup Evo. Don't worry, it was built from a very rusty donor car, it was so bad that the entire rear end including quarter panels was replaced with parts from a crashed car. It looks to be very nicely done:
I’ve driven that car. It is very lovely…This one has been for sale on and off for absolutely years, interestingly it has the aftermarket fuel injection kit developed by Trident Motor Sport to cure all the early carb cars' hot starting issues.

Yes there’s a guy on here with one, the torque figures (2.8) look like the could end up with some hilariously sideways moments further down the rev range.it’s definitely a Japanese market 2.8 hybrid Cup (the 2.8 has 2800 written on the cam covers which you can just see in the engine bay picture). Don’t consider the Japanese Cup to be a lesser relation though, unlike the 2 U.K. 2.8 hybrid Cups which were merely GTs with the Cup’s cosmetic enhancements, the Japanese 2.8 Cups had different engine mapping to their sister GTs. This was developed by the Japanese importer, Cornes, and gave power increases over the standard GT, making it fairly close in performance to the 2.0 Cup.

I sold this Ghibli to the owner who rebuild the car. Frode is a very very good guy and he got it form me very cheap. I got word that there was a Ghibli under a big mass of snow on the counrtry side... When spring arrived, I got to get hold of the old owner and I managed to buy the car when the pile of snow had melted around it! Lots of stuff was wrong in the engine compartment. I made it run pretty well. Here is a link to a video I did of it while I owned it. It was dark blue. I repainted it Blu Spaziale met, looked quite nice from a distance with the contrasting almost white leather, but was a bad paint job by a local moron. Tried to make him repaint it again, but he refused. So I got tired of the car. Now it is a wonderful unoriginal Ghibli. Last time I talked to the owner, he told me that the engine had just been repainted and cleaned while in the car so my fix still works!
Loving the video. That’s spirited driving, in the dark, at 5 degrees.I sold this Ghibli to the owner who rebuild the car. Frode is a very very good guy and he got it form me very cheap. It was in a dry one-way tunnel so not very dangerous. I can't remember the tires.Loving the video. That’s spirited driving, in the dark, at 5 degrees.
Assume the car had Pirellis?
My first Maserati was a 222 4v. which I bought from Germany. I REALLY loved that car. The torque was unvelievable. Still wake up in the morning, having dreamed about how it was to open the garage and see that car. But to my big disappointment when I realized I sold it many years ago. There were two red and my black 222 4v. here ik Norway. Now only one red left. Which is immaculate and has 345 hp. That thing flies!!222.4v in Amsterdam

Agree, will be interesting to see what they both make. Quite a bit of time and money invested in the green one from the paperwork shared. That second Ghibli might be my old one (the first Maserati I had), as that was a back LHD car from 1994/5 on an ”M” plate. Though mine was a 2.0 lt version and this ad states 2.8 lt (though that could be wrong).
The dark green RHD car looks to be in superb condition. It’ll be interesting to see what it reaches, and whether or not it makes its reserve.
