Top tip. Though my children are girls, not boys. It’s not the 1950‘s any more, so Marlborough is mixed, like the vast majority of private schools. Recent Old Girls include, for example, our future Queen Catherine, Sam Cameron, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and Emerald Fennel.
Interestingly (and thread drift warning!) around here it’s only the state run grammar system that still operates with single-sex schools. Though I imagine there’ll be a government along soon enough to put an end to that, rightly or wrongly.

David and I are in Lille and have found an amazing hotel, some SM’ers having been before. Going to speak to business this morning and see if we can strike a deal.
Then we are off to Reims to check out the old F1 circuit remains, lunch and a backroad route then to Troyes to speak to a hotel there about night 2
Gites are all booked and I checked the ticket stick at the circuit and they still have stick and parking Expo. I’m a bit late with all my organisation this year but rest assured a totally new route and hotels for the drive down should be all sorted today.
its 8 weeks till the off tomorrow!
