I still have (and use) hammers, dollies, snips, etc. that I bought back in the 1950s , for use in my job as apprentice panelbeater.I think all 'traditional' trades buy their own tools, I spend most of my wages as a 16 year old buying the tools for the job... the rest was spent on women and pop.
