    3200GT intake manifold tightening torque

Hi, Can’t find an advice in the workshop manual on: Tightening torque, nor; In which order; the bolts of the intake manifold from a 3200 should be mounted. I’ve mounted and disassembled mine several times. Everytime I do my best not to overtighten. But when I’m disassembling it I’m always...

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

Oneball, So is it according to pic below? But then the thermal valve makes no sense. Do I correctly understand that, where you first thought you had one, you don’t have one?

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

That sounds logic when you have the other version carbon filter. It should be on the back of left hand side of the block; here:

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

Ok. Clear, and that’s indeed conform manual. As I have another carbon filter (there are two versions) I should not need to have this connection like you have it. Anyways your connection again indicates that my connection (from pop off to thermal switch) is false.

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

Thanks for havig taken a look. The piping comes from both pop-off valves and is connected to a Y coupling under the intake manifold. From there on one pipe continues under the manifold up to the end and should go to one of the connections at the back of the intake manifold. In my car...

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

Thanks. That’s the boost control valve with indeed a discharge to atmosphere. It’s not the pipe I mean.

3200 intake & boost: Pop-off valves are pneumatic connected to thermal valve

I’m servicing my 3200. With 01394 for spare parts number it should be a first series. The engine block has the thermal valve (part 0000955067) and according to the workshop manual it should be connected to the activated carbon filter, but instead it’s connected to the pop-off valves. Note that...
