Giving serious thought to fitting spacers on the Granturismo; is 22mm front/30mm rear too much?

The 22mm were from here; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MASERATI-GRANTURISMO-07-21-M145-2x22MM-WHEEL-SPACERS-HUB-CENTRIC-BLACK-/402840182922?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 The 15mm came with the car. 15/20/22/25 etc all quite easily available as Ewan says on...

Giving serious thought to fitting spacers on the Granturismo; is 22mm front/30mm rear too much?

When I looked into this it was clear that 22mm front and 22 or 25mm rear was considered the sweet spot. I ended up going 15mm front and 22mm rear and thought it looked good. However, my car was slightly lowered and I would have happily gone to 20/22mm on the front.

    Centennial Strad at Auction soon...

Estimate £69k-£79k suggests the seller would be happy in this range. Even at the top end of this then minus fees (circa 5% + VAT), it’d be mid to low 70’s. That’s if bids go that high, given no warranty and reqs a service. If I was in the market I’d be tempted to contact the seller directly and...

    Tonight’s Auction

Early speed 6’s unfortunately weren’t great and many were rebuilt / replaced. As much as I wanted a Tuscan I opted for the Cerbera and absolutely loved them. Fortunately the AJP engine was a lot more robust……

    Biturbo celebration in Auto Italia

That’s a fair reply and I get where you are coming from. The more constructive opinions the better :):) Many cars that are commanding high prices are far from being mechanical masterpieces or driving heroes, but still command a high price. Partially driven by emotion, but also desirability...

    Biturbo celebration in Auto Italia

Interesting comments and understandable. Quite why a Ghibli / Ghibli Cup wouldn’t be worth the current prices it is commanding is baffling. Especially when you compare it to a Granturismo v Stradale. No disrespect to Stradale owners but the jump is no greater than that the Cup makes from a...

    Biturbo celebration in Auto Italia

That’s the beauty of individual opinion and I don’t dispute you are correct. I can only take the word of the journalist, but if I got to experience some of the cars at some point, would form my own view. Must have been some day out and great to see such a cool selection of Maseratis together.

    Biturbo celebration in Auto Italia

I enjoyed the magazine and article. I have limited knowledge of the early biturbos, so was good to glean some knowledge / info and likewise from the post by @dickyb above. I also enjoyed reading issue 300 with the “Maserati Masters” comparison, especially as the Ghibli Cup edged it.

    SportsItalia Stradale Remap

I’ve been following this thread with interest, more so on eventually validating the potential gains. I was involved heavily in remapping another NA engine around 16/17 years ago. This was the TVR Cerbera AJP 4.5 V8. On paper it should have produced 420bhp, but when we tested a number of these...

    Top Gear!

Don’t get me wrong, sitting and leaning against the cars really annoys me also.

    Top Gear!

I liked the episode also. A mix of cars, stats, competition, humour, recognition and emotion. I also like the current presenters, admittedly I was unsure how Flintoff and McGuiness would be, but whilst they aren’t hardcore petrol heads, they do appreciate vehicles and appear to be themselves...

    The Perfect Blue Stradale?

Firstly congrats on the purchase and hope it goes to plan, the car looks absolutely stunning. Your current GT also looks stunning. I’ve monitored prices quite closely over the last 10 months and saw the rise in used car prices really kick in during May. This continued slowly through to the end...
