As it’s a GT I don’t think there is a key locking mechanism on the boot, but please correct me if I’m wrong or I’ve misunderstood!

The battery isn’t knackered, I’ve disconnected the negative terminal latch and stupidly shut the boot lid whilst distracted :( And my hands are now sore from pulling my hardest on the release cable!

Hi all, the GT has been booked in for replacing both cam cover gaskets. Along with removing the stickers on the solenoid valves, is there anything else that could/should be addressed whilst the cam cover gaskets are being sorted? Thanks!

Never used a leisure battery before... any recommendations on one that would be suitable for this setup? I.e. locked away in the boot with the CTEK....

Hi folks - unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of a garage with a mains supply to trickle charge the battery on my GT Sport 4.7 auto. Any recommendations on portable/solar powered trickle chargers that you’ve used? Thanks in advance!

Just to ensure I’m checking the oil level correctly, how warm does the engine need to be? In the user manual it says the temp needs to be stabilised. What does ‘stabilised’ mean? Is that engine on and idling for 5 mins? Or is it a good drive around the block to get the temps up to 90 degrees?

Thanks Zep... the car is definitely putting me through my paces and keeping me on the edge of my seat... :confused: As mentioned this is my first foray into anything more than a 4 pot engine... so it feels like a pretty steep learning curve, but one that’s worth it when the Italian orchestra...
