What have you done to your Maserati today?

Just back from a 300 mile road trip down to Devon and a couple of nights in The Pig at Combe (highly recommended!). Google took us on some pretty awful country roads that were hardly anything above a farm track; a bit of a challenge due to mud, water and pot holes. Came back today via the Haynes...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

Decided it was time to start cleaning up the interior of the 3200, so I cleaned and treated most of the leather in the front. Rest of the car to do next including a long overdue deep clean of the carpets and floor mats.

    2010 Bianco Fuji GTS F1

To be fair to the GT the road tax on any new car over £40k is going to be about the same for the first six years. But yes, if you look at total cost of ownership I reckon £695 is about 7% of what the car will really cost per annum, if you actually use it year round, do a few miles in it and take...

    2010 Bianco Fuji GTS F1

Yeah, I noticed your car as I try to keep an eye on things that come up locally. I think it looks great. You could try and do a deal with somewhere like Magari if it proves difficult to shift(?) ... I'd have one but it's the £695 road tax that holds me back. I'd really resent having to pay that...

    CAR AUCTIONS

Sub £50K seems about tops at auction for a 360 in that non-preferred colour scheme and with that high mileage in the current climate ... even if it is a manual. Ferrari prices seem to be falling quite a bit. I've certainly seen some dealers reducing their prices by around 10% where they've had...

A few of us on here like a little French car

Well done! I thought that was a very good looking car, with the red carbon roof. I found the buckets in it very comfortable, more so than the GT comfort seats that I thought I’d prefer. You can buy a lumbar support from Sabelt if that proves to be an issue. I’m leaning towards the S as...

    550 Maranello v 612 Scaglietti

That's been in Autoficcina's showroom for a while, where it was up for £50k ... Not sure it will sell today but I'm watching with interest. Some people on here think that the early cars aren't anywhere near as sorted as the later cars, which usually sell at a bit of a premium. I honestly can't...

    Subframe rust protection

Yes, there are lots of new products about and I’ve considered using some of them but usually fall back to the old and familiar process of a wire brush, kurust, stoneguard and then waxoyl … I take the view that I’m usually starting with a less than perfect surface which I’m never going to get...

RHD Indy project for sale in Poland...

Not for most of us unless you’re a wealthy YouTuber with a popular car channel that specialises in such projects for the entertainment of others. And when it’s done, it’s sold to one of your subscribers … LOL!

    STG Review

Bit of a mixed bag of a review from ‘a bit gutless’ with ‘turbo lag’ to ‘I love it’! … at least that’s some of what I heard:

Yes, although this current deal may appear to be better than it actually is when you realise they’ve just inflated prices so they can offer the cars on what appears to be 0% APR. It maybe unfortunate for anyone taking this up if they subsequently offer discounts to sell off the end of A110...

A few of us on here like a little French car

If they're all listed correctly on Autotrader (which they may not be?) then there are only 37 brand new cars in stock that are available for 0% APR: 9 GT, 9 S, 10 San Remo and 9 R. There are also a lot of brand new Turbos listed, but they'll be outside of the 0% finance deal (they're doing 2.99%...

A few of us on here like a little French car

If you get a spreadsheet up and make some assumptions about interest rates on your savings and depreciation, you'll find that you'll be about £5k better off by buying a brand new S outright under their 0% PCP offer than paying cash for a 3 year old S. Of course, by 'better off' I mean that...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

Trip to Sainsbury’s to get the shopping in, but only after a 30 mile detour just for the craic of the B roads of the Isle of Wight!

Yep, the reviews do vary. Problem is most of them only assess / compare the cars at legal speeds on British B roads. However, if you check out the reviews that test the cars on unrestricted Autobahn then you find the road holding of the standard car declines as it approaches maximum speed...
