This Parliamentary Petition arrived via email from biddingclassics, making a good point about the high level of tax some of us are paying for our lightly used modern classics. Signatures are needed. Please sign it if you agree …

Can remember when it was proposed for cars to be tax exempt at 25 years old. Labour gov. got in and it was squashed, just before my Stag was 25 years old. Then had to wait another 15 years until the 40 year old rule came in for tax exempt.
My Stag will be now 50 years old this August!

My stag I owned at the time was a 72 car, registered May 72 and Labour made the cut-off point pre-73 cars could only be tax exempt. You must remember Michael all the K-reg, early L-reg cars that came on the market, rusty early stags with a log book became very desirable, the commission number plate changed over to later cars.
Oh look a Mk1 stag with lots of Mk2 bits on it, lol

Did it to a few Minis as changing the vin plate was two aluminium rivets on the front panel.
