Old Boxster must be the best sports car you can buy for under 5k. They cannot stay that low for ever as they are brilliant little cars. 5 to 6k can get a really good example these days.
My son just bought a real nice 2005 987 Boxster, great bodywork and interior, 95k miles, new tyres all round, with a hard top, brand new MOT and reasonable history file for £6k. It looks great and drives beautifully, still feels really solid and just feels like a quality car. Such a bargain!

That is cheap for a 987. Sounds like a great buy and car.

Phil - you might be interested to know that the maserati is now in Belgium .
Very interesting as they are worth so much more this side of the Channel.
Currently watching close to me a British guy who has bought over a £5,000 QPV to the Mayenne and trying to get it through the Contrôle technique and registered so he can take it to Le Mans.

Yes the buyer thought it worthwhile flying to Edinburgh and driving it down to Folkestone for euro tunnel . He picked car up yesterday at around noon and arrived home at 7-00am this morning . He did ask a few times why the car was not selling locally and I think could not believe the low price .
From my point of view it was worth it to get around £3k more than I would have got trading it in .

Ask @Techno Prisoners his 4200 that he bought was a frustrated Controle technique import into France. Ended up the chap that was importing it just pull the plug in the end after months of trying to get it through.

Having been a MOT tester in the UK and also tested in New Zealand where it was even slacker I like the French Contrôle technique which lasts for 2 years it's a thorough test which is Good for all road users.
They don't like rusty UK cars that's for sure.
