Ahhhh ….. the memories ….. great song but the dancing girl!!!
"You're mind is dirty … but you're hands are clean
You're short on class … but you're legs are long"

They don't write 'em like they used to
Never see Rainbow but saw Graham Bonnet at the Waterfront in Norwich about 10 years ago and it was a great night.

The most unlikely looking of rock front men - more of an extra from an episode of Miami Vice
Blo*dy h*ll he can hang with the best of them though. The smaller venues are great for really "hearing" a voice.
My favourite venues are either Town & Country in North London or the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
Do you keep your old tickets? Got a boxful kicking around somewhere.

Great band and voice, probably got a load of all my old concert tickets in the loft somewhere along with all my other cra-p, came across my old Motorola phones a few weeks back, the very first handbag one and then the brick one, wish I still had my yellow chopper bike, they're worth a bob or 2 now

I had a Grifter! Anyone seen this before? And does anyone know where Sabine is?
Or, indeed for that matter, Mr Half-Cock, the chap next door.

Blimey spent some time in both them venues Neil. Cambridge Corn Exchange was local for me but just too young to see all the great bands like AC/DC in 78, remember seeing Motorhead there supported by Saxon circa 1980, a girl I knew saw all the NWOBHM bands on at that time Iron Maiden with Paul Di'anno, Wild Horses with Jimmy Bain and a new upcoming band called Def Leopard. See quite a few shows at the Town & Country Club mostly in the 80s, my favourite being a John Martyn show on his Piece By Piece tour. Use to go to Hatfield Forum, Hitchin Regal and ST Albans City Hall were great little venues.
Didn't Blackmore have a go at Bonnet for having short hair? lol

Saw Motorhead at Hatfield in '87- currently still waiting for the hearing in my left ear to return.
Thanks to Metal Mickey, mates since primary school, he always ordered the tickets.
Not in front of the stage - in front of the speaker stack!

Quite probably but then Blackmore was more interested in the pixies living at the bottom of his garden

From last night....Such a great voice...

cant wait to see Haelstorm in OZ next year Andy. Just hoping their set time doesn't clash with any of the other big name artists I want to see at the Download festival.

Great band Rainbow.....Rainbow Rising still one of my favourite LP's and much better than the later commercial stuff but still love the Bonnet era. Saw them on the Straight Between the Eyes tour.

As an aside, was mucking around in the music room at work, and one of the youngsters came in, started talking about drums to me. He mentioned Stargazer, "oh you mean this" said I :) Rattled off the intro, ( I learnt it in my youth,) the look on his face !! Hahaha.
