What a race....How did Lewis go from 23 seconds behind the back of the grid on the restart to P7 yet Bottas could make any inroads behind the McLaren for most of the race. Shows the gap between the two of them I suppose. ... So good to see the three youngsters on the podium.

What happened in qualifying?
It was like Moto3 qualifying. Except F1 is the pinnacle of 4 wheel racing but with the maturity of Teenagers waiting for a tow. It's very dangerous. There's footage of Lewis having to carve his way through a wall of cars.

Hamilton got stitched,, Gasly
Just watching the Ch4 highlights. Coultard’s trousers are a little tight for pre watershed.
Its only because your an over weight bloater and doesn't workout like he still does!

Love to see the youngsters doing well, Hamilton fell foul of the rules but what happened to all the other so called big teams, Ferrari and Red Bull both had disasters and Bottas seemed to forget he is allowed to overtake

I feel it’s more to do with this ban on engine setup specifically for qualifying. As of today, you have to stick with one setup for qually and the race.

Suppose they will work it out and the normal boring order will be resumed.

Not sure that can be Bottas defence, Hamilton showed that it is possible to pass in the Merc even if it was carrying more downforce that blunted its straight line speed

Yes but Hamilton was passing the slower cars in the rear of the field......he wasn’t exactly flying past them. he’d have struggled to get past the ones around Bottas as they had similar if not better pace during the race.

Possible but we will never know, I always think Bottas lacks that killer instinct to make a move which is a shame as he has all the other skills required

Give some credit to the McLarens, they were surprisingly on form and Lando is no slouch. I've saifd this before, Bottas lacks hunger and George Russell should have his seat.
