Agreed mate, but he would likely diagnose your problem very quickly, DIY is fine if you know what you are doing. And scanners don’t just pop up and say, here is the fault, job done. Unfortunately, I don’t have the expertise you have, so rightly or wrongly eventually I call in the professionals. Trouble shooting is much different to DIY.
This is not my daily driver- I bought it as a project car just for something to keep busy. With all the covid stuff, I just don't get out and about as much as before- hate wearing that mask. So I'll just plod along and eventually figure it out. If I come up with any unusual fix I'll post it up here for others.

They are factory fitted (U.K. cars anyway), so even if you didn’t get the cards, you will have the box that could fail.

Did you locate the start enable relay?
Yeah- T-20 which is the Ignition relay has power and ground, but it's not getting the control signal from the ECU when I turn the key- so I'm thinking it has to do with the immobilizer or just a fault in the ECU from changing the battery. Do you know where that box is located?

This isn’t maser specific but if that relay is for ignition then it won’t be told to power up by the ECU until it detects the crank rotating

Its sometimes behind the side panels or under the rear shelf.

In the right rear of the boot is a panel- opened it up and there was a ground strap bolted to the body with some yellow paint and a wire with a 2 prong plug and nothing to attach it to- maybe the USA cars don't have this tracker device.

They have a lot more wires than that, but you are right, I don’t know if they are on US cars.

UPDATE- SOLVED!
Turns out the starter solenoid contacts were worn and dirty- managed to get the end plate off and pulled the plunger with contact ring. Contacts are replaceable, but one cannot be changed without pulling the starter, so I cleaned and sanded them all and put it back together. I am going to order some new contacts, and for now I can at least drive it to a friend who has a hoist.
Thanks to all who chimed in with help.
