Cars that should do well over the next 10years

They’ve quietly shot up in value recently. The very best GT models are £50k plus. I think the best V12 manuals are a good bet, but the other boxes should appreciate too.
As for the i6 cars... hmm
I don't get that. The DB7 is an XJS in drag (a pretty dress I will agree). But then Capris are Cortinas in drag and people are wasting money on those too.

Thanks Dem, probably not one for me.

That generation GTV was climbing up in price and a clean 3.2 are more expensive than one might think.

Always struggle with the 4c it falls between a sportscar and a track car and is too compromised for either role IMO, however I believe that a few suspension and engine tweaks can address these issues. They were rare when built and accident damage to that tub nearly always forces a write off so maybe in years to come they will increase in value but I suspect like the SZ it will be a slow burn maybe 15-20 years

cannot find reason to love the DB7 once door opened and sitting inside. As a piece of sculpture I would have one though.
The 4c may well be good future bet but agree ^^^ it might be a slow burn like Il Mostro. Another car i "nearly bought".

Seriously looking at a V6 Busso this year.

I would expect them to do well, as I just sold my 2 x V6 Spiders, and my 2 x V6 GTVs over the last couple of years. Lol.
Seriously though, they have already appreciated reasonably, so unless they are an already overpriced Cup, in my opinion, or a 3.2, I can't see them appreciating dramatically. There are a lot of dogs out there.

The 4C was overhyped before it came out. I suppose it was never going to live up to the expectation, and in true Alfa style (guilia aside) it took the aftermarket to sort the suspension!

A great looking, exotic and rare toy though.
If people are prepared to pay 50k for a Clio V6, which apparently they are, a car also panned when new for its handing, then a 4C is going to be worth 100k in 15-20 years in comparison!
No way.. you cant buy parts for them even now let alone in 10 years time!

Even with those aftermarket castor adjustment kits fitted there still awful to drive...

There is a great car trying to get out in the 4C......I drove one and its handling just did not inspire confidence. If as very skittish and just didn't seem planted which for a car like that should be... But I believe that is a very easy fix as was taking to an owner who said the same but got the thing set up for track work and it transformed the car. He used to have a Lotus Exige and said that now he had set the car up as it should have always been set up it was a faster car on track than the Exige which lets face it is a track animal.

No accounting for taste or what becomes "desirable" of course.
The Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo. I had one soon after launch. Met a guy at Auto Italia a few years back who bought one for about a grand. They were still too new for me to get back into at that point. Strangely I quite fancy one again now. The mainstream cars now are bland beige, or wilfully ugly.

Good to see the 4C mentioned. The on road behaviour is a bit ‘challenging’ but had mine on track recently and it was epic. Fingers crossed values hold.
I hope the B7 RS4 will be a good bet as my new one arrives on Tuesday. That said anything I own never seems to do anything until I get shot.
Best car advice.....buy when I sell!
280 ford Capri sold for £500 in 2005
G Reg Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti sold for 1k not so long ago
VR6 corrado sold for £2500
We’ll see what the 4200 & Ghibli 11 do now I’ve let them go!!

The electrics where terrible when new.
Mate had a 20v Turbo on lease and they could never sort it, crazy things like rear wash wipe would activate when indicating.
Fuses blowing frequently and the garages answer was a bag of spare fuses!
Looked good in yellow though!

Would sell our 156 V6, but it’s worth more to me than I think I’d get for it. It still howls it’s way to red line, even with 150k on the clock

Yup love the Busso. One of my top 10 engines. Needs an extra 500rpm on the rev limiter though. Love it in the GT. Can't see me selling the V6 GT as what would be the point selling it for say £4k. Might as well keep it as it isn't going any lower.

The 4C has never really done it for me. Just seen so many reviews where people have found too many flaws. Apparently it is very noisy as well. Not in a good way.

Never been a fan of the DB7 either. A DB9 or Vantage moves the game on tons for the same or similar money so don't see the point of the DB7 now. Mike at BR seems to agree as well.
