I found my TT Quattro absolute cra4p in the snow. Whereas at the time the family VW Touran FWD on winter alloys/tyres was brilliant.

It is more about tyres than how many wheels are driving.

I had not issue in packed snow on fairly steep inclines, no complaints from me.

Put it this way, the postman stopped and walked, and the 4x4 driving behind me thought better of it, so the TT can't be that bad.

Could still be down to tyres. Mine were clearly useless

Tyres. That’s kind of the point. But putting your foot down on 4wd, traction controllled Audi/vw on ice is like driving on tarmac. As always, it’s stopping that matters.

that looks proper winter. Thinking about trip up that part of the world (Sedberg) to view houses. Maybe we'll leave the QP and bring the truck ;)

I have one. Audi TT quattro Sport - it has the 4 cylinder 1,8 Turbo engine tuned to 240 bhp by quattro GmbH and it was the only TT built in Germany. quattro GmbH removed the rear seats, put the battery in the boot and fitted a 3.2 bodykit as well as tuning the suspension and fitting diamond cut wheels and the two-tone paint. Available in Light Silver, Avus Silver, Misano Red, Phantom Black and Mauritius Blue. With and without the Recaros. Many could not get on with them and had them swapped for the comfort option. If you had factory fit comfort seats like mine then you also get heated seats. Retrofitted seats will not have this. Funny enough was talking to a collector of Audi Ur-quattros yesterday and he has singled this out as the next one in line for that kind of status. It is a special thing.

My Avus Silver example is actually going up for sale soon but will not be cheap given that it is a one owner, 6K mile car and absolutely as new. Lower mileage than even the Audi UK Heritage example. Have loads more photos if interested.

Hi, I cannot message you as you have not made enough posts here yet (I think). Certainly I don't get the option to message you as I see for other members. The TT qS was sold long ago though to an important UK collection.
