I’m not an engineer and have limited IT skills so I can’t circle the part that intrigues me but someone will hopefully be able to tell me what is the purpose of the thing that looks like a pipe that’s taken a beating just next to/below the heat shield (if indeed it is a heat shield!)

that's not a pipe, it seems like heatshield sleeve for the turbo oil feed line
