We have heard that a few times now that borders should have been closed sooner during this pandemic.
Explains why it's not easy to find a Curry house here in France though from that chart.
Yeah, built you've got a large North African population, which makes for good eating options.

Yep and if want to see real racism in action look at how the French treat residents with a North African heritage. The world is still a truly horrible place. I’m not going to Mars though.

Great that things are opening up again today, let’s hope everyone still follows the guidelines that remain and that those that have chosen not to have the vaccine reconsider.

Still can’t quite believe that Israel is on the green list, forget Covid, bombs and missiles could pose an even greater risk.

Sadly I doubt that they will. I'll be staying put for now.

Today I had my first COVID test, a finger-pr!ck lateral flow research study from Imperial College. Negative for antibodies. Seems I've most probably never had COVID, despite much time in Asia and northern Italy at the end of 2019 / early 2020. Apparently it's normal to be -ve even after vaccination as post-vaccination antibody levels are much lower then post-infection levels.

In September last year (I think) I offered to donate plasma having had Covid in March.

However, when I was tested for antibodies they were almost non-existent (although they were there).
It was suggested that antibodies only last up to 6 months. So it's quite possible that you have had Covid, just your antibodies no longer show up.

How the vaccine works is beyond my pay grade.

But they are not foreigners, they will almost certainly have dual nationality,
So, reason for travelling.

India doesn’t operate a dual nationality, but Pakistan does on the other hand.

I stand corrected, but how does that stop someone from obtaining a British passport.
I only ask because when I was getting messed around by Indian visa people and had to travel to Birmingham to get my kids passports back. The young Indian lady I was sat next to had both..I believe.

She wouldn’t have both because India doesn’t operate dual citizenship. What it does operate is a PIO (Person of Indian Origin) Card which has now changed to an OCI Card. Essentially a long term visa but not a passport.
