When I had my second (might have been my first individual) passport issued in (from memory) 82 I was classed as a British Subject. This please my parents not at all given that I was born in an RAF hospital on an RAF base....

It was changed, and I've not had a problem since.

Yes, you would think that 'British Subject' would do the trick, but nope.

Yeah, significant difference, apparently. I was too young to care.

Was very conscious that I could (perhaps) have been called for military service. I rather assumed it was up to age 30 but when we visited I was cheerfully told by the tour guide that it was age 40. The emigration guys were somewhat curious as well.

Incidentally, this thread is far more interesting now it's morphed into discussion about which food styles we struggle to get at a high quality in our local areas.

Out in the wilds of East Anglia, we're good for Chinese, one pretty good Thai place but struggle to find a reliable Indian.

Cracking Indian restaurant near here. I doubt they deliver to the wilds, though.
We have a decent Chinese as well. Fabulous gastro pub and a top class fish place. Couple of others are meant to be very good, but not had a chance to try them as yet.

Our favourite Indian is actually Nepalese, the Chinese is Chinese though. We’ve got a great Turkish place and there’s a Balkan breakfast place too. Polish restaurant has gone though which is a shame as it was brilliant

Nepalese food is gorgeous. Big fan. There's a nice place in York called the Yak & Yeti which we've been two a couple of times when visiting Crud the Younger. Top place. Ex-Gurkhas. Bad place to do a runner from, I'd imagine.

Incidentally Swmbo and no 1 daughter are booked in there on Saturday. I bought her(swmbo) a chocolate making experience for her birthday. Apparently that has morphed into a night in a hotel and a meal out. Didn’t know I was so generous !!

No Thai anywhere near me. 2 curry and Chinese though. 1 of each is my go to. Also the dog doner shop. He gets my Friday dollars.

This is incredible -blatent Covid infection US data manipulation.

The CDC are now swaying the data of the vaccinated. Last paragraph. (The trick is in their reporting of what they call “breakthrough infections” – that is people who are fully “vaccinated” against Sars-Cov-2 infection, but get infected anyway). https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/health-departments/breakthrough-cases.html

85861

Just like that, being asymptomatic – or having only minor symptoms – will no longer count as a “Covid case” but only if you’ve been vaccinated.

The CDC has put new policies in place which effectively created a tiered system of diagnosis. Meaning, from now on, unvaccinated people will find it much easier to be diagnosed with Covid19 than vaccinated people.

Consider…

Person A has not been vaccinated. They test positive for Covid using a PCR test at 40 cycles and, despite having no symptoms, they are officially a “covid case”.

Person B has been vaccinated. They test positive at 28 cycles, and spend six weeks bedridden with a high fever. Because they never went into a hospital and didn’t die they are NOT a Covid case.

Person C, who was also vaccinated, did die. After weeks in hospital with a high fever and respiratory problems. Only their positive PCR test was 29 cycles, so they’re not officially a Covid case either.
The CDC is demonstrating the beauty of having a “disease” that can appear or disappear depending on how you measure it.

If you apply this only to the vaccinated, but keep the old rules for the unvaccinated, the only possible result can be that the official records show “Covid” is much more prevalent among the latter than the former.

This is a policy designed to continuously inflate one number, and systematically minimise the other.

What is that if not an obvious and deliberate act of deception?

I’m sorry, but to me the last paragraph of the quote doesn’t say what you are saying it does. It says that they will not investigate breakthrough cases where serious illness has not occurred. Not that they will not count these cases.

I suggest that where this isn’t your own work, you don’t post it.
