Today I walked into my local Maserati dealer. It was a very enjoyable experience as the young sales chap Jason made you feel instantly welcome and was delighted to show me around the cars available.
Highlight was the Trofeo Which looked stunning in it’s selected livery- Blu Emozione
The featured red interior (Which as all Rosso owners know make the car instantly faster) Looked lovely against the carbon fiber detailing

The Ghibli is $300,000 plus car over here!

We got talking about the MC 20 and he stated that Brisbane has been allocated 8- all of which have sold. That’s good news.86602

Probably the same reason mine has 3 matching interior door handles..
Seriously? How bizzare.

I have seen some odd combinations over the years. Almost as if the factory didn’t have all the parts so put on whatever they had. One car had full carbon everywhere expect the gear knob, which was silver. Maybe some might have overlooked it but I am sure it was part of a carbon package which made it even more strange and it was a brand new car.

Could have at least matched the side vents to the brake callipers on each side :D

Looks great....do you know why the brake callipers are silver on one side and red on the other?
I do, the sun angle in the showroom made my camera photos too dark......so I found the same colour car on Car Sales at another dealer .....and chopped it in!

(No quality control employees were sacked during the making of this car)

I think that the red accents look sh1te ... whereas the interior isn't bad.

Same here...Those red flashes on the badge and the side vents look like something you would get in Halfords..Look plasticky and tacky. They are on the Lavante as well and look just as bad.

Yes, when the Levante Trofeo was launched, they went with a much classier pillar badge which I have added to my race car.
They should have stuck with these I think

As much as I’d love to have a go in an MC20, perhaps perversely I’d want to try one of these more...

I took a Ghibli Trofeo for a test drive earlier today. Still have the smile on my face and am turning the sofas upside down to find all the spare cash I have.

Comparing to the 2015 Ghibli S it’s chalk and cheese. Effortless smooth engine. Not as loud but a lovely noise all the same.

Acceleration was nuts for a four door saloon.

If was being picky I’m not keen on the red highlights and Trofeo badges on the front wings. Aside from that I’d swap for it if I could. Maybe after I’ve paid the taxman next month.

Save £60k and buy a QPVI Gts, same engine.

Now that looks stunning, but I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that would depreciate faster... and I can imagine very few Trofeos will make it onto UK roads. I’ve only seen a handful of Ghibli Trofeos on AT, a few more Levante Trofeos... zero QP Trofeos. I tried to blag a test drive on a QP Trofeo after registering interest... but they didn’t have any, and neither were they expecting one. Not sure I’d be comfortable parting my cash with something I’ve not driven before (MC20 is probably an exception to that rule...)

The problem with the QP VI for me is the size. The extra over the Ghibli makes it impractical for me.

I did go and talk money with them in the end. After all it’s all to do with GFV and what Maserati will sanction. They moved quite a way but still not enough to make it a viable proposition.

In the meantime I called the salesman who sold me my Ghibli and Levante to see what he had in. A few weeks later I’m out of the Levante and into something completely different

You can buy wheel spacers in Halfords too, just to complete the look.
