Turkish delight is horrible full stop. Bounty is a strange one, milk versions are too sweet for me but love the plain ones (red wrapper)

I by default boycott any sweet manufacturer who changes the name to meet some other market demand, hence no Marathons or Opal Fruits for me - can't say the manufacturer's seem to have noticed though.

Yes Turkish delight is an acquired taste…I love them as I do Bounty which seems to divide opinion.

Turkish delight is not always rose flavoured. Anything that tastes of roses is utterly revolting.

How can anyone not like coconut

Plain or Milk chocolate Bounty? That divides opinion even more!
Has to be plain - milk is too sweet to be edible.

That said, I must be getting old as almost all these chocolate bars seem to have got sweeter and have less good chocolate than they did in my childhood.

Non chocolate sweets (toffees in Bolton, sweet was a pouf-ish sounding word to us hard kids), never called it a sweet shop.

Spangles
Lemfizz
Flying Saucers
Refreshers
Love Hearts
Bazooka Joes
Chewits
and many more

Not forgetting the 'Penny Tray'. I fact I might go in the local 'Toffee' shop and ask for the Penny tray, see if I get anything.

Do love a love heart and refreshers but spangles was like eating glass….

A classic BarOne (Mars bar) - and eat it by layer. The best….as I kid I also loved Bounty - and the ad : a tropical surprise in milk chocolate - accompanied of course by a pretty island girl

Now you will see that Mars Bar is not on my list. It is not that I don’t like them but they are very sickly and in the TV add they lied as they didn’t make you work, rest and play….work, rest and heart attack more like.

This layer thing with chocolate bars as well is just wrong. Eat it as intended and get all those flavours in your mouth. Liz sucks the chocolate off a KitKat….Really….what is that about.

Cadbury’s Turkish delight, sadly not available in the UK anymore is one of my favourites.. Bountys are vile.. and have you seen the size of a Double `decker these days? Less Double Decker, more mini van…

I only had one last week. Why do you think they aren’t available ? Fry’s Turkish Delight is actually Cadbury’s and Cadbury also do a Dairy Milk Turkish delight as well now.

BTW, Terry's Chocolate Oranges are available from Rawlinson's.

There may be superficial damage to the packaging but promises were made that weren't kept.....
