To be honest I can’t believe the luck Hamilton has had this year if you compare it to Verstappen. Verstappen should have been miles ahead in the championship if it weren’t for Lady Luck, although Hamilton & Mercedes have screwed up a couple of opportunities given to them - in Baku he could have scored at least second and yesterday he could have won. Being boo’d after impeding Verstappen’s and Perez’s qualifying? Seems deserved to me, gamesmanship at its best maybe but not sportsmanlike at the driver level. Mercedes took both Red Bulls out in qualifying as well as in the race. There should be some repercussions otherwise this will escalate further. We should be seeing clean racing by the drivers for the championship.

Bottas the Missile- it was team orders !
Hamilton had an "out of body' experience when he was crying foul over Alonso's 'dangerous' driving too..Maybe he already forgot turn1 last time out !?
I m sorry but i find him a total turnoff. Which somehow diminishes his performance for me....

Why does booing lewis for holding up Perez seem justified as Bottas was the one who set the outlap pace as he was just in front of Lewis?

You also seem to imply that the Bottas torpedo was in some way part of the fight between redbull and Mercedes? That would be an pretty spectacular play by both driver and team if so, like a trick shot in pool… hit a McLaren to spear one red bull and then once you have 3 wheels and no steering torpedo the other one….

I sometimes wonder if I’m watching the same race.

I agree. Maybe some of the comments posted on here should be redirected to the BBC website.

I think the booing was more to do with Silverstone than Qualy in Hungary.

I you didn‘t see how Hamilton impeded Verstappen during that lap - snails pace out of the pits, slowing down then blocking him during the lap, then you need a visit to the optician me thinks..it was pretty obvious the Mercedes strategy was not to set any serious lap time, but rather to impede Red Bull from setting one, a strategy that certainly worked…or maybe I was watching a different qualifying?

I don’t see how you conclude that I implied any intent from Bottas? I stated Mercedes took out Red Bull which is correct…By the way, I can’t remember the last time a Red Bull took out a Mercedes..

Stranger things have happened, remember Piquet and crash gate at Renault that handed Alonso the win, nailing Perez as well will just have been a bonus.... ;)

So Bottas was given a 5 place grid penalty for the next race, which is hard to argue with

What about Stroll? Unless I have missed something he doesnt appear to have been reprimanded for his part in the carnage?

Anyone with SkyF1 the IndyCar race starts at 2230... In Nashville - "Music City" Grand Prix

It's a street circuit so expect crashy crashy

You mean that they're likely to turn right? What ever next in 'murican racing, circuits not bowls?

Btw McLaren Racing have bought more shares in Arrow McLaren SP and are now have the majority. Expect closer ties with F1

You know oval races are in the minority of the calender right?
Nope, I'm ignorant of US racing. I barely watch MotoAmerica formerly AMA racing. It's a place where older racers go to earn big bucks after mediocre career on the World/European stage.

I think you called that right. Not feeling it yet, aerial footage from Geico, the track is absurdly tight. Like formula E with engines. But I will persevere.

Yeah it would be good if they can actually start the race and find a rhythm... I'm going to fall asleep at this rate

My only criticism is overall the cars are slower (Indycar vs F1 or IMSA vs WEC) but I think it's down to circuits in NA not being safe enough for cars with the additional 200-300bhp

Although IndyCar is going hybrid and will be finding that missing power. NASCAR will also be getting faster and more relevant to road cars
