Apparently there were 5 free pumps at the petrol station here (it only has 6), maybe you guys who are desperate should book a return ferry to Ireland and then fill up in Dublin before returning home

Or maybe to get every pensioner and school run mum to fill up at the highest price it's been for months, millions in extra duty and vat for the treasury then when demand falls the price of fuel drops.

Wife showed me a post the local Tesco had put on the local FB site.
Details all the delivery details for fuel for the next week. And they always keep a 1/3 extra for the emergency services.
best she have enough to pick me up from Manchester on Friday. We’re going to Cornwall for a week.

Went past our local BP on Friday night, they had fuel.
The 2 cars at the pumps nearest the road put in £10.32 and £18! FFS!
One was a new Evoke the other was a newish BMW. So I can assume they weren’t on the breadline and didn’t only put in they could afford.

My wife says I still stink of petrol after the syphoning earlier, despite having had a shower and a few beers.

No way am I having another shower, so I am staring on the gin to get rid of the smell and taste :cool:

Just been to Sainsbury's , 4 cars on the forecourt so the rush may be over , unless they're filling up every day just in case

I'm going to be calling the Toyota dealer Monday to make sure there's enough petrol in it to get me home

Went out a bit yesterday and every petrol station either had no fuel or massive queues which were causing chaos to other road users!

Only vehicle in the fleet with fuel in at the moment is the Maser - guess I'll be using that then :)

People's stupidity never ceases to amaze me :rolleyes:
