And so it is done! The rust appeared not bad - needs a bit of cleaning and sealing. I managed to negotiate the price a bit. Now let's just hope the variators will stay quiet :P So I own my first Maserati yay!

It is from a private seller (the grey one I was posting in the other thread). it is 2010(10) and engine number 143560 - I read that engines up till 148697 can be affected.

Thanks guys for all your input. Unfortunately it is within the affected numbers - it hasn't been fixed in the past (no info in the service book) and I don't currently hear any issue and nothing was reported by the mechanic (they test cold start). oh, I thought that ZF are wet sump?

Yes the the mechanic sounded like the car is in a good condition, some bits expected for this age. I particularily wanted him to check the subrames haha. I would definitely go to secure these if I buy the car - thanks for the tips! Also - back quarter seems to be repainted (415microns of paint)...
