Ghibli SS - Return of the prodigal son

After a number of years gently twisting his arm, my go to bodywork man, Craig Wilshaw, has worked his magic on my 1971 Ghibli SS. Craig did all the hard work, repairing the frilly bits no one ever sees and agonising over all the details of the intricate compound curves, which everyone sees. I...

Beautiful Blue Boomerang up for auction

A friend is selling his gorgeous manual 3200GT on Collecting Cars. He bought it from Dicky a few years ago. It’s a beauty and guaranteed to stand out at any event. Mrs Hurricane has forbidden my participation as we have a strict one in, one out policy. So tempted to break the rules, but that...

Alfa Romeo Giulia spider pretty as a Giulietta

Didn’t know that the new engine brought a new name for the Giulietta in 1962. Bumped into a friend who has just bought this beauty. Didn’t expect to see this in a field in Pembrokeshire...=

    New suit for Sir Siddeley

I’ve just emerged from a high emotion week helping Sir Siddeley into his new suit. The Centenary of Armstrong Siddeley was celebrated in Coventry yesterday and I’m surprised but delighted we made it. Loads of late nights/early mornings with a little help from all my friends, meant he did get to...

    Pic of the year 2018

Took my GTS out for an Italian tune up today after two months hibernation. We have great roads in Wales, but they are almost unusable when the gritters are out and the tractors add mud and thorns to the mix. It made me remember the best drive of 2018. From Luz St Saveur over the Col du Pourtalet...

    Feeling the love...

Finally I had a chance to drive my QP GTS on proper roads on my own. A couple of weeks ago, I had to watch my wife drive it home from the Ti22b in Chepstow which prompted mixed feelings - nice to see her backside for a few hours, but disappointing to keep up in the Defender. Last weekend was...

    Urgent - aircon fill quantity

Anyone know the quantity of gas that should go in my 2010 QP5 GTS? I’m at local aircon specialists and we think it might be a Maserati State secret. They tried speaking to FTech but they don’t want to share the info. Yours hopefully.

    Ceramic coating QP GTS

I'd like to get our QP and possibly my Ghibli protected with a ceramic coating. Anyone know a detailer who uses the right stuff and might be willing to travel to South Wales to do it? Free accommodation to a recommended person. Failing that, is there somewhere I could get it done in a day?

    Getting to know the GTS

Spent four days in the East Midlands at a Memorial and then a funeral. The QP kept reminding me it's good to be alive. Here are the stats when I finally got home. The trip included 3 tunnels and a bit of chasing my brother in his Evora GTE. Mixture of motorways, A roads and B roads.

    West Wales newbie

Hello. I'm a long term Maserati Club member having had my Ghibli SS for 20 years now, but I'm relatively new to SM. If anyone is out West, do get in touch. We're a good stop off en route to Ireland too - Fishguard ferry is 30mins down the coast from Cardigan. I've always thought the QP is...
