Track day - picture **** and requests for your experience

On track days experience, familiarity and setup all come into play and trump power alone. As long as everyone goes home safely and has enjoyed their day it's a success all around.

Thought this community might enjoy this... The last lap is a cool down. This was driving my Exige S V6 at Blyton Park. Later sessions got faster, but this is all I've managed to get uploaded so far. Hope you enjoy.

    V12V v Strad. Discuss?

    Two Seat Stradale

This car caught my eye. So, given I'm due to be buying an Emira (very early on the list), is the Strad the left field choice? I also like the V12V and could go up to a 458. Decisions... Is the Strad that good?

    E10 Fuel compatible with 575M

I can't run to a manual, but have no big issues with F1. Just looking for any big show stoppers. I can afford maintenance, but if I can't get the right fuel (e.g. Scotland/NC500) that's an issue. I have a deposit down on a Lotus Emira, but there's a total lack of hard facts post Goodwood and...

    E10 Fuel compatible with 575M

Maybe I should ask this the other way around... why should I not buy a 575M. I'm just trying to research, but could do with making a decision soon, probably tomorrow. If anyone on here has experience, I'd be keen to hear. Planning to run a big GT alongside my Lotus Exige.

    E10 Fuel compatible with 575M

I definitely have an issue with Super availability where I live, at least not guaranteed. I've not read anything confirming that additives address the fundamental issues that come with E10. I'm in no way scientifically qualified on this stuff. I just want to make sure that I don't commit to...

    E10 Fuel compatible with 575M

I'm considering a Ferrari 575M, but struggling to find out if I'm going to have an issue with E10 fuel. I know sale of Super Unleaded E5 will continue, for now at least, but where I live and drive, it's by no means guaranteed that Super is on the menu. (Also understand that there are currently...

    Lake District food/drink recommendations please

First, the Pie Shop in Gosforth is not to be missed... Punchbowl at Crosthwaite is nice. L'Enclume at Cartmel. The Samling near Windermere. Linthwaite House Hotel near Windermere. Masons Arms at Strawberry Bank (some good roads). Kirkstile Inn Loweswater. Lyzzick Hall Hotel near Keswick...

    The Lotus Emira thread

For the US I believe, especially since the mechanism has been open for years on the Exige.

I thought the gear mechanism was going to have a mesh cover over it?

    The Lotus Emira thread

Yes, I've heard the same from various sources. By the way, for anyone who wants to submerge themselves in discussion about the Emira, one of the better sources is The Lotus Forum (known as TLF), just search 'Emira'. There's also a massive discussion against a Pistonheads article with over 1,500...

    The Lotus Emira thread

Recognising that the Lotus Emira is generating interest on the forum with a few potential owners, I thought it'd be good to create a dedicated thread.

Lots of us love a V12 Aston Martin.....

That option does appeal, but Lotus has the ECU locked down. Not impossible though, somebody will figure it out, but few would do this within warranty period, which is 3 years.

I can feel an Emira thread coming on...

Indeed, Lotus are all about supple ride and compliance. My Exige rides brilliantly on Bilstein dampers.

I might yet go for the V6 manual. Keeping my Exige V6 as my nutter car though. Appeal of the Emira is ride and handling (Tour spec), and it simply being new with a 3 year warranty. Btw, it's emerged that the V6 will be 416bhp.
