    2014 Grancabrio MC

It's bloody annoying. I had hassle with it in 2021 when I tried to put my private plate on it. DVLA wouldn't allow it initially as they wrote back refusing saying "According to our records the recipient vehicle has been stolen and not recovered. Our records show the vehicle was stolen on 5/3/19...

    2014 Grancabrio MC

Thanks all. I've been told the loft conversion we're getting instead will be much more useful. It's been a great car - it needed discs and pads and tyres when I got it but other than that it's been perfect, doesn't use a drop of anything... apart from the odd bit of petrol... Knowing what to...

Exhaust Valve Control Mod (how to)

Hi I did : GND to car earth and one solenoid terminal +12v to car fuse box Second solenoid terminal to NC normally closed. So normally the solenoid is powered up and open and allowing vacuum through to shut the valves. Pressing remote allows solenoid to shut, stopping vacuum and allowing...

QP EPB/ABS/MSP/ASR/Suspension Warning lights - unlikely to be voltage issue

Rather than start a new thread may I quickly ask - EPB - it takes a couple of seconds of flashing of the indicator light before it goes out. I've been waiting until it's extinguished before I move the car. When it's still flashing is it safe to move or better to wait? Don't want to break anything!

Agree - taking these cars to a vet is ridiculous. London's Harley Street every time.

Simple & Cheap Underbonnet Upgrade for GT/GC

I've been thinking about something like this. Originals are shouldered and flanged - someone did point out that bike fairing bolts aren't bad - eg these at three quid EACH! I think I like those black ones though...

Exhaust Valve Control Mod (how to)

Just wanted to say thank you for this thread. VW vacuum valve now fitted and working great off a remote switch kit - I picked that valve as it came with a bit of hacked-out wiring and the plug. Took front of the airbox out to do it - air flow meter and airbox cover come out as one after...

Welcome. Good aren't they? I grew up in Irby. Fun West kirby fact - if you floor a Renault Fuego you can get the lefthand side of the car completely airborne off the humps where the side roads tee into that road running alongside the marina/marine lake.
