    Excessive oil pressure

Hi, I rebuilt the V6, but now I have excessive oil pressure. So much that oil comes out from the turbos. I tried adding mode washers to the oil pump regulator, but I'm starting to think that maybe there is too much crankcase pressure. (I have now 5 washers there and the meter is still bit under...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

I'm with Alpa on this one, there is a reason why I'm rewiring the weak spots anew. Using fingers to help the windows is not acceptable, as well as the tired wipers. The BITURBOX was a great buy, it fixed lots of issues after a long period outside. The foil PCB is a source of trouble, one I had...

    Biturbo clutch dies after waiting

Oh dear me, I got the biturbo engine running again for a while with Megasquirt MS3 ECU. Amazing, started with first spin! However the clutch gave in on me, the slave cylinder sprayed its contents right through the rubber. David Askew luckily had a replacement, so we try again next week or so.

    Climate control not working

Wow that is great info, I did now know that one. I've had some issues with my unit, the previous "mechanic" had hard-wired the compressor clutch to fuel pump relay, presumably there were issues before. The unit was superficially fine, but I'm suspecting issue on clutch output pin since they...

Looking for an air horn compressor for my Ghibli II. Any pointers?

I recently serviced my FIAMM unit, very simple piece of kit as long as the motor turns freely. just take out the vanes , clean all the rust and muck out and put plenty vaseline or moly grease so they move freely. My motor was fine, but if its stuck it might be just muck. It has sliding bearings...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

Oh, and your interesting note on the ínternal blower, it would be indeed an interesting measurement to see what is the power draw Engine running in idle, fans running All lights on, high beam + fog lights Aircon on full Hifi on full steam wipers on Just wondering on how tight that 55amp...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

As in the magic biturbox there are no relays for those, just the original 3 ones - horn etc. Same for wipers. You need 6 more relays. Its a good idea for "biturbox2" to integrate those if boys at Galileo want to hack more - would need bigger power feed etc then naturally. I've been also...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

We're definitely on the same page on this. I started making a new relay box for both wipers and windows, and I'm going to put 2.5mm2 cable to make sure it gives all the current needed. The stock cable is really, really thin... Intermittent wipers are also indeed poor, so I took some components...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

There is indeed reason to check without load - to see the speed. You can then extrapolate how fast its supposed to be, from the angular speed of the motor. I want to see if its slow as **** from birth, and if I should find something more powerful. I do agree with you on the wiring. I'm leaning...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

Good point. I'll do the voltage measurement, and also see how it runs without mechanics - that should minimize the current. I'm also trying to get a datasheet from Bosch, to see the angular speed and wattage it should have. If its a current issue, rewiring is always an option. It could be the...

    Biturbo's slow wipers..

I was thinking if anyone has upgraded the wiper motor in Biturbo/Ghibli? Its well.... very... slow. My Alfa 159's slowest speed is faster than the fastest speed on biturbo. I'd imagine this would be easy upgrade, if there is similar but faster wiper motor. I'd like to find a new motor that...

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

I do this to open things up, on these old cars. I'd publish the drawings if I had those. I don't have much faith that I can make money, so open source is good. You can still make your own products.

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

Well, you are here offering all sort of parameters. You do not want to act upon them?

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

In mechanical engineering those are called design rules, and they can be managed by software. Its 100% doable.

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

Sorry I was trying to ask was this the company? You know we could make an open source parametric piston/rod/crank model... FreeCAD etc. You could easily check clearances. Would need some parts thought to model, I don't have extras.

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

Right, that head job was because I had blown exhaust valve (no idea why!). The shop very experienced, decades experience), said the Maserati exhaust valves had special surfacing, and recommended I get a new set. Intake valves were all bueno. They still did full rebuild and inspected all, as we...

Anyone modifying biturbo v6 engines ?

Also Sergio at https://www.autoepoca.it/ was able to get me new exhaust valve set for moderate price, no idea who was his supplier. Very good quality on tolerances, my head machine shop said no new adjustment cups were needed. On this I asked the machine shop also if I need hardened valve seats...
