Seems odd you wouldn't spend £350 getting the indicator fault and bushes done. Or maybe that is parts only pricing with labour on top. Maybe if they declare them as you say Dicky try to absolve responsibility for them they limit their exposure.

Seems like the seller should have sold it at the price it reached. I guess there is always that option. With the service history with too big holes and those issues it seems top money to me at over £22k. I'd be more inclined to pay a smidge more money for a straight perfect car......oh....I did :D

This car is not anywhere near as desirable as your car to the vast majority of prospective purchasers. Pre facelift, red, manual, part history, faults present etc.

Didn’t think manual would be a negative, I would have thought a plus?
Obviously the other stuff yes, not so good.

I think the jury is split on the manual. I've yet to drive a good manual example and any I've driven weren't much fun. One didn't like reverse and found 1st and 2nd hard work when cold. The other didn't like 1st or 2nd most of the time. Neither were the best manual cars I'd driven by some margin. I think the CC box suits the car fine and give a more consistent and better experience. Also some like the option of the auto mode. I'm sure a decent manual example could be decent but having not driven one it is hard to comment.

Just shows you to buy on condition not mileage if there’s a string of faults at 13k miles.

Fewer miles often means more problems.. These cars like to be used
I'm not sure I can agree with that. You can have a dog lower miler and dog high miler with loads of issues. By the same token you can have a mint lower miler and high miler with few or no issues. It is all down to how it has been kept and looked after. Clearly this red one hasn't been so well looked after and loved as much as some others and it often shows.

I've not looked inside my engine but imagine it would be pretty spotless with an oil change every 300-1000 miles. Not sure many cars have had that level of pampering I wouldn't have thought. Just got it down off the lift and out the garage and it still smells new and feels an event just sitting in it :D

Would I want one with more miles? No.

The red one on CC looked like the grille surround looked tarnished/pitted which is odd for a car with such low miles and dry stored.

I always miss those C pillar trident badges and they always look as though they are missing something when not there.
