Annoyingly they never stay in sport..
I think they do, sort of.
If you have been in sport and park up, when you start again I believe they will select sport of you select 1st with the paddle. Something like that anyway.

I think so, I tend to keep it in quiet mode to and from the house so don’t notice.
Next time you use it try leaving in sport then restarting and select 1st with the paddles.

The wheel is colour is growing on me as I’m spending time with the car, haven’t taken it above 6000 rpm yet and the sports button and flappy paddles are treats yet to be explored, I do find out the road runs out quickly at the slightest push of the pedal, hoping to join in on some meets, especially the Ace Cafe
Congratulations on your lovely motor, if it helps on your wheel colour choice here’s some photos of my GC (similar colours and interior to your GT)… Granite Grigio wheels and Blu Oceano paintwork, cream leather interior and wood inlays/trim

Interesting. I have got into the habit of switching off in reverse and on starting pressing 1 instead of flicking paddle. I will try it and see.. Still have to press race though.... :lol2: cheers

That mode only mentions gearchnager though.
The Sport mode is mentioned in last chapter. AFAIK sport mode must be re-selected after each start.

Will done for using sport mode, now tell us you have reached the top of the rev range!

A lovey classy car... so much nicer than bland white/black that seem to fill the classifieds.

I have been testing this.

If I turn the engine off in sport and then restart and use the paddles, it goes to sport, which was great in the GTS but in the Strad it goes to Sport but not Race

Could we credit Maserati with some forethought; maybe being in race from start might be perilous due to the reduced traction, so setting off unwittingly on a damp morning might be a bit lively.
