I love the car wizard. Been watching his YouTube stuff for a long time. I find him very calm and relaxing to watch. He had a quaint a while back which he spoke very highly of.

Beautiful colour 4200 and never seen a salty winter so nice to see the underside looking like that for 48,000 miles.
Those guards were factory standard on cars for Oceania to stop the risk of fire when parked on grass.
He has some projects in that workshop with a 456 in there too.

I noticed that in the background too.
He's getting the reputation for being an 'exotic car specialist', but actually isn't.
He's a good general car mechanic and gets all the info to service and repair from the Internet.
This can lead to potentially big mistakes, such as Hoovies Mercedes SLS, I'm sure a Mercedes dealership wouldn't have made the same mistake.

I posted the question on YouTube, but is that exhaust all stock apart from the X-Pipe?

If so, I can't wait to get my X-Pipe fitted :)

Correct

Won't be long until you make more changes. Exhaust fettling can get addictive until you find the sweet spot... Or go too far and have to start putting stock bits back on lol

A pet hate of mine is when shutting the bonnet he pushes it shut (can cause ripples in the bodywork). I prefer to drop it from a small height, allowing it to self shut. Nice video though...
Mine too I've got a small ripple in my bonnet just above the catch which I'm convinced is due to that malarkey

Has anyone on here done the FD throttle mod he talks about?

A few, some like it some don’t. But, it’s not a throttle mod, it is a device that spoofs the drive by wire system to fool the gearbox TCU into thinking that the throttle is wide open causing faster gearshifts. As I think you have a manual it’s no use to you I’m afraid.

Thanks for the info Zep, thought a more crisp throttle response would very much enhance my 4200. It does feel a bit unresponsive at the top end of the travel.

That is deliberate, or it can get a bit interesting in low grip situations. Does your sport button not sharpen it up?

Ha, my old Cerbera had a long travel throttle as ‘traction control’!

Sport button on the manual just stiffens the shocks

Do you have to do that everytime even if it is going nowhere?

No. You don't even have to do it if you are going somewhere. The system primes when you open the door. If you can start, engage gear and be trying to move before it catches up from the pressure loss, you're a far faster man than I.....
