Agreed but these are.the times we are now living in. Great for buyers.

You can have a chuffing nice mini collection of usable interesting cars for 100k now. I'm living proof

If I can add some more garage space I'd love to add a few.more on the list.

As the subframe thread shows if the are kept well indoors the keep well. Keep them outside and not used and they suffer.

Absolutely agree, in fact the main reason I am selling is because living in London I don't have own garage space and therefore I rent further away and logistics are complicated.

Plug the reg into WBAC and that is the price area people look at (I know), regardless of condition. If you are lucky someone may come along to assess the condition.
This is the consumer world we occupy unfortunately

The difference between what i ask and what WBAC offers is the money i've put in the car over the past couple of years. Big picture thats not miles away for anyone looking to get a car with this type of running costs.

I've updated the original post with work that took place over the past few months, incl service, new head gasket fitted and new tyres all around.

Head gaskets!!! Worrying now.

I should refrase, it was renew of valve cover gaskets as per the invoice. Is it different to head gaskets?
There was a small oil leak from one of them that we thought it is better to fix. Nothing extordinary tbh.

Yes, a very different gasket - the valve cover gaskets are prone to weeping and are often in need of change

Just reading this again.. Another QP that has been for sale for a year and really doesn't deserve to be. Lovely car that should have sold....The market is very cruel to these lovely cars...…..Hope someone snaps it up soon for you.

Returned this week from nearly two months away. I had switched the battery off and wasn't sure what to expect but it started immediately and had a long ride followed by a deep wash and polish.

I've been looking occasionally at the market over the past few months and haven't seen many quality QP in transaxle/dry-sump spec in desirable colour combo for some time. So I thought to bump mine once again to see if any interest...

Good luck chap. Really bad times for selling our cars. Could not give away my QP. just over 100,000 miles and still on same clutch I bought it with. Just found invoice from 2016/17 when clutch wear was 86% at 84,000 miles. It must be be done for soon.
At least I have a plan B - just fired up the 3200 for the first time and years. Maybe time to go back to turbo fun :D

I am baffled at the value this car offers ! I wouldn’t have 4 cars on the driveway already, I’d take a plunge! beautiful!
i think 3 stamps from AV engineering is also a big big plus !!

I know and to be honest the list of works done to the car is not even complete. I even spent just over £1000+ just 2 months ago to sort out some cosmetic niggles the car had (parallel parking knocks sucked out, small paint bubble on the base of the rear view mirrors, new badge). I'm not even sure i should be selling it as it will be difficult getting a better DS ...

Sounds like like this car needs nothing and is low mileage. You will regret selling it... esp for that price !

If you have it as you want it and spent some cash is it worth selling. If you still enjoy still and have space, tax it and use when you want.
Unfortunately they just do not command the prices. Silvercat is testament to that. A lovely gts lookalike 4.7 that was traded for <16k because it would not sell privately..nuts!

Sounds like a lovely example, and a bargain for the right buyer.
But as with any such car, it will still have costs, so keeping it is not necessarily the right thing just because the selling price is modest.
GLWS.
