2014 63 MC Stradale for Sale

Hi all,

Following on from my post last week, I have now decided to move on the MC Stradale.

I accepted the dealer offer albeit for GBP 2K less at GBP 57,500 as:
1) I need new tyres on the Strad as I have a nail in the rear that needs replacing. So easier that they take the car as is rather than me having to faff around getting new tyres only for them to then just pick up the car.
2) The shoe-in customer they had for the car decided they did not want a Maserati but they will take the car for stock resale anyway.

I do not really have any current photos as I dropped her off on Thursday to my body shop to have the front end tidied up to bring her back to perfection. Nearly 5 years and 22K miles on Nero Carbonio will always leave some marks so I am having the bodywork sorted so she is in A1 condition. I did not want the dealer to get the car and then try and knock some value off, so best to have her in as much showroom condition before she goes.

So the dealer is picking her up on Tuesday 15th October. I will have her back from the body shop next Friday evening the 12th.

If anyone is looking for a 22K Stradale in Nero Carbonio, you are more than welcome to buy her for a reduced price compared to going to a dealer. I have the years 4 and 5 end-to-end warranty on her which runs out at the end of Jan 2019 when she will be 5 years old.

I have had her from new and really loved my time with her. My 4th Maser and 3rd Granturismo after my original foray in Maser life with the Gransport in 2005. Highlights are:
- Nero Carbonio
- Red Calipers
- Full years 4&5 end to end warranty runs out in Jan 2019
- MOT runs out in March 2019.
- Red stitching with red trident logos.
- Carbon interior (can't remember the "pack" but does not have the carbon surround around the 1 and R selectors) including the carbon gear paddles.
- Last service was in March by Lancaster at 21,000 miles.
- Clutch wear was 27% then.
- No Bose - did not see the point to be honest.

Please feel free to PM me for any further details if you are interested.

Thanks for taking the time to read the post.

Cheers!

Stu

Thanks for the very helpful advice

Luckily it doesn't make too much sense for me unless I lose the 4200. If someone wanted to give me 30k for the 4200 it might work but other than that it is silly.

I miss my QP and XJ so currently looking at reinstating one of these as something nice to go out in with wife & kids. Something up to maybe 25-30k. Amazing how much stuff is out there at that price or a smidge more.

QP 4.7 GTS, XJ SuperSport or XJR, AM Rapide, Panamera, CL63, S63, A8 W12 amongst others.

Surprised me but there are a few for sale under £40k. Done c.60k miles though, which is high for an Aston. No doubt £35k will get a nice lower miles one through the trade.

Not just Maser's dumping value.

Indeed....would be through the trade as I get plenty of opportunities to buy through my brother's system. Will be a decent example with reasonable miles at 35k trade so not a another with high miles.

That's an opportunity not to be refused! I recall Top Gear compared a Rapide, QP and Panamera as fast wedding transport years ago, which is perhaps what inspired Contigo. Can't remember whether they liked the Brit or Italian best.

Unanimously for the QP.

.....even though they said it was the worst car! Having said that, I’d take the QP out of those 3.

I recall the conclusion being akin to your own 2 year old child; often very frustrating and unreliable but you would kill anyone trying to take him away from you! Of course they don't run them long term and if they had, and mine was anything to go by, they are very reliable as long as you accept the occasional spurious warning light. Surprisingly strong residuals in the first few years too (compared to German 100k large saloons). I certainly miss mine.

You lucky git. I have my eye on a Rapide. I am very tempted.

When I come to actually having the time to driving a car I would like to try one.
