Will be touch and go for 3rd as I've got friends round the night before... Presumably we'll meet up somewhere....

Does anyone know if it is common for there to be any meets within the Midlands area? From what I can see, most seem Southern based (I think, anyway). Not against the idea of travelling further out, just was interested to know.

When I do get my Granturismo (hopefully within the next 8 weeks), I think I'd love the idea of attending these. I've never been to a car meet before, but have heard great things!

Some of us live a very long way from big city life, never mind the Midlands!

The bonus is, every drive is fun, apart from Bank Holidays when all the tourists land and aren't used to the narrow twisty roads.

I'd have thoughts there's plenty going on there. By contrast, I've just had a message from my 'local' Lotus group suggesting a 'regional' meet that's 2 hours from where I live!

Who about "Caffeine and Machine" just outside Stratford upon Avon

It gets really busy though with some fantastic cars!

It's all about getting involved and if Midlands owners want a meet, get one on the table.

I know so many are in the south but that's because members are active there and attend... we have tried events further north but buy in was much lower.

I would love to see more happening outside of the SE as it's often not a pleasant drive into or around London.

Proportionally, there is less of us in the North, so, when, think there was 6-8 cars turned up in Helmsley, that was a mahoosive turn out....
No idea what the membership split is but I bet it’s like 80% below Northampton..

Called in at Caffeine & Machine on Saturday, it would be a great place for a meet, but would probably need to chat to them and get some parking reserved. There was a huge turnover of cars during the few hours I was there, there was people leaving and arriving pretty much constantly. But a great venue and was well run considering the amount of people there, an interesting selection of cars, and the burger I had was pretty good too.

Was there ever a drive to Caffeine and Machine? Would be a great place to go and im dying for a reason to journey down! They might even allow a group booking etc for the forum to guarantee spaces as on Saturday i know it gets rammed?

It's a great place but at weekends it does get rammed, if you can get a guaranteed booking then it is worth a visit and unlike The Ace the burgers are edible and don't result in a night with your head in a bucket
