3 wheels and still wins. Bizarre

^^For Bottas and Sainz lol

But in all seriousness... Silverstone resurfacing a couple of years ago has led to some really boring stale racing because of the low degradation

At least today the low degradation tarmac caused some drama at the end of the race... I thought they were being optimistic doing a 1 stop from lap 16!

Next week should be interesting, Pirelli bringing different tyres, think it will mean 2 stops at least

What a bonkers last three laps and certainly some what ifs for the teams to think about

Pirelli were planning to bring softer tyres next week which would certainly force them down the 2 stop route.

Lewis Hamilton is in the best car on the grid, along with Bottas, so he is going to win most races as he is a better driver than Bottas. Personally I cant abide him but I am a Mercedes fan so I like to see the team do well. The driver I am most pleased to see do well is Lando Norris, a great driver in what is the beginnings of a very good car.

Am I the only one who thinks it's bizarre that F1 / the FIA allow this sort of thing nowadays, despite the possible risks to safety?
At the very least, I think he should have entered the pit lane, last lap or not, instead he basically drove a 3 wheeled car 1.5 laps.

Half a lap, he was on the last lap coming out of Woodcote. Many commentators are suggesting that the debri from Raikkonen caused the deflation.
A perfect race car is one that performs to the absolute limit. Therefore a car that doesn't break after it finishes, is over-engineered.
Ergo, Hamilton's car was better than perfect.

If the stewards see the car in a dangerous condition then they will produce the black flag with an orange disc with Lewis's number (the meatball Flag)
The tyre remained intact on the rim and the Marshalls probably waved white (slow vehicle) flags to following cars. But he was so far ahead there was no point.

It wasn't the most spectacular finish either

Half a lap during the race, but 1.5 laps total. He completed the cool down lap despite his team telling him to stop.
We've seen tyres break up in the past, it could have happened just as he hit the brakes at the end of the Hangar straight, where he was doing 140mph+, with a flat.

As you say though, that Merc is some machine, shame really as F1 would be much more interesting if it was worse!
