3200 Auto Gearbox Rear Seal

I’ve managed to source the parts not from euroscares but another 3200 group. The extension housing gasket is no longer available but at £3 for a sheet of paper on flea bay that is the least of my worries
Remove the prop from the diff end and the big rubber washer thing - if you have solid straight through exhausts like mine it’s a bit of a faff to get the housing out, support the gearbox on blocks to remove the tear support
The filler cap is clearly visible with the extension housing removed - I shall be filling it up before replacement.
Bearing and seal drove out easily with a large socket and replacement was just as quick and easy
New seal sits proud slightly - the old one was flush leaving me to believe it was a pattern part
The lock nut was only finger tight so this was probably also part of the problem
All done so far with the car on stands and me lying underneath oh for the joy of a ramp or 4post lift

Very good news. Maserati 374831408 is same as TVR R0301.

Here are some good photos of 374831408.
You can see "NOK" (Brand), "TC" (Type), "42.06" (I.D.), "66.62" (O.D.), "9.7" (Depth).

Here is a good photo of R0301.
You can see the same letters.

BTR made both 3200's automatic transmission and TVR's differential, so it's no wonder they share the oil seal.

Some pictures from the rebuild - oMG how cod was that today!
I must say the electric air con pump didn’t work with oil but the 1955 oil can and a bit of clear hose worked a dream
I made the gasket from a sheet that cost £2 off flea bay but you do need a 30mm long socket for the lock but on the gearbox shaft

Hello, I would like to ask you for information how much oil did you use to refill the transmission. Data on the Internet are very different: from 4 liters to 10 liters...
Thanks for your reply.
A 5ltr can is almost empty - I had a leak as well.
Its difficult to tell how much it needs as you need to drive it get it hot and check again - it took another litre or so after the first drive but it might still be low on oil as I havent driven it far enough to get it hot!
