3200 passenger seat squeak.

This may sound trivia but I do need to find a solution. The leather on the outer passenger seat bottom bolster rubs constantly against the leather passenger door pocket generating the most annoying squeak. Is there any form of lubricant that I could try to eliminate this noise. I have sprayed both areas with Autoglym Leather cleaner but no change.

Mine used to do that..you can move the seat back which may stop it but I'm afraid thats the Italian build for you...Never stopped mine.

Try 2 things:
1. Move the seat to a slightly different position - it may be enough to clear the door card.
2. Spray the surfaces with 'Mr Sheen'

I had an experience many years ago with a squeaky leather seat and was out one night with a young lady we were taking the veiws and one of the local beauty spots and thoughts turned to romance...well one thing lead to another and.....actually perhaps this isn't appropriate.....Forget I mentioned anything.

Basically the seats needed a wipe down and never squeaked again.

Nice Andy - just what I wanted to read while eating my branflakes... just to hijack this one - Matt, where do you spray the seatbelt reel to get it to return more quickly? Is it safe to get the silicone on the belt itself?

Chris, yes, it dries to the touch but leaves a sort of slippery repelant surface.

Pull the seatbelt right out and spray liberally on both sides of the belt and the upper B post buckle.

It works for about a month then you have to reapply, but I just do it when I clean the interior.

Only thing to watch out for is the overspray, it can leave greasy spots on the leather and glass, so pull it outside the cabin and do it....before you wash the exterior!

My Ghibli seat squeeks on the centre armrest. I use saddle soap & then leather cream that stops it for about 3 months.
