A mere 40,000 miles, not 16,000. Huge difference. I think some of us confuse cheap with good value. It’s cheap, but relatively, in my opinion, it’s not good value.
I have to agree with Dicky on this one... 56K vs 16k mileage for a saving of say 10K does not sound good value to me, I would rather be spending 10K extra to have the lower mileage car, as the higher mileage car would probably incur higher maintenance cost and the "saving" becomes irrelevant when it comes to selling as the high mileage Stradale will probably end up with a value of 10K less anyway. So I think the lower mileage one Dicky has offers a much better value IMHO.

I suppose the point I was making is if you didn't have the extra 10k then here is a Stradale that could be in someone's price bracket that maybe wasn't and I would imagine you could negotiate a bit more off maybe..... Do they really incur higher costs though...Understand there will be some wear and tear items but I would prefer one that's been used than a garage Queen as long as it was serviced and well and looked after......Those parts need to move on a car not sat still in a garage. When I had an Esprit I know of owners with low miles cars that needed loads of work each year when putting back on the road. I had 96k on the clock of mine and used it daily and it never missed a beat.

The Esprit is very light so probably not too much wear and tear on suspension (that or you didn't notice the steady deterioration!). All Gran Turismos are heavy. I believe there is a reasonable amount of cost refurbishment required at around 40/50k miles. Others better qualified should advise when they start needing bushes/arms/bearings etc. It would not be such an issue but for Maserati parts pricing policy of 'reasonable price x4'.

A more salient point is that the market for our cars is relatively small so there may only be 2 or 3 people looking with funds ready at any point in time. Many will not consider a higher mileage car, whether rationally or not, so your market to sell to is even smaller or non existent at the point you want to sell.
