I think the winning bid is quite reasonable considering it comes complete with jack, bolts, etc...
If I remember correctly, they are over £500 new (If you can get one)...

But Eurospares had a number available recently....don't think as new items they were much dearer than this one!

Wheel Bolts for Space Saver Spare

The wheel bolt part number for the space saver wheel is different from the part number for a regular wheel. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two bolts? Geoff

This is a guess, but I am sure it right. The alloys have long bolts and the space saver, by its nature, is narrow, so you need shorter bolts otherwise you will not be able to tighten it.

I would expect the space saver bolts to have only an inch of thread on them and probably be no longer than 2 inches in total.

Thanks Matt, that's my guess too. Maserati dealer in Melbourne couldn't tell me and suggested I could use standard wheel lots until I pointed out they had a different part number. Ihave also emailed Eurospares to see if they canbe specific. When you lookon the Eurospares web site it does appear as though the spare wheel also has a thick hub like the wheels on the car but intuitively you expect a steel wheel touse shorted bolts than a cast or machined wheel.

The spare wheel bolts are shorter than the standard, I checked this when putting on my spare some time ago.
Not sure their exact length and don't have my Spyder to check today.

Thanks. Nick. Have been trying to work out whether you can use the standard wheel lugs and I guess the answer is no as they will bottom out before the wheel is tight. is that what you found? Thanks Geoff

Hi All,

I bought a spare wheel from Eurospares this year......and yes it was not cheap/moderate in price but when travelling anywhere and you have a puncture, well what can i say! Better to have one than not!

And the bolts for the spare are different lengths

I have just had a tyre wall ripped open on a pothole on the island of Mull, and i can confirm on the 3200 Spare wheel the wheel bolts need to be longer to work with the spare. The fronts and rears at the same and do not even clear the body of the Ferrari space saver. I did not know this and had to call out green flag to get my wheel sorted!
