[Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place]

Im looking to sell my 430.

Im just wondering, before I sell it, how much should I be looking to get for it?
The only real bad points is that it's got rust on two of the front wings and
it needs 1 lower rear door skin.

Thanks for your time.

I would imagine it's hard to get parts these days for these cars especially wings etc....I onlt say that as I was speaking to Malc and the track day yesterday and he has just bought the last 3 wings in the country for his Ghibli but needed 4......There are no more available anywhere....through Maserati, specialists or any where else.......Would imagine you would need to buy breaker for parts these days.

Hi, Condition average then! Seriously though no easy way to value these.

Given that Ghiblis fetch an average of £8k and range from £6k to £12k (this would need to be concours) QP IV's are £8k ples so superced the 430

430 lovely car made from very poor steel and by modern standards not quick only of interest to an affeciendo who really does want something different. High running costs as a luxury performance car that was very limited in numbers. underated and undervalued.

McGraths and David Askew are the people to keep it on the road and don't overlook Emblem if you are in the south!

Collectable but not a collectors car. Costs of repairs will never add value to the car overall....we throw money at the ghibli 'cos we love it and we have become emotionally invloved with it....never should do that with a car!!!!

I am not going to say what I think it is worth on the market because hopefully you will settle on a value acceptable to you and I want to be wrong!

Take a look at Enrico's site ( agoogle should turn him up) he is a lover of all things maserati

Hope that helps......... I am trying to avoid being pessimistic

Umm actually the rear wings came from Italy there are about five of each left and the front nearside came from McGraths and it appears to be not only the last one in the country but the last one in the world! Looks like we will have to have the front offside either hand made or cut and shut!

Maybe a bulk order of Red Bull.................

The problem with 2nd hand ones is that even new ones have to be fettled to fit all these cars were hand made so the "standard" dimensions are only a starting point and Mario & Luigi stretched or shrank them as necessary. Ergo a 2nd hand one may be significantly under or oversized and they are all made from the same lousy steel!

Hahaha..........I wish!

Trust me if I thought it an investment I would by the the remaining few.....but then I wouldn't want to be accused of profiting from the despair of true affeciendos!

It does beggar belief though, there were only the 130 odd right hand models made ( and less than 1200 including l/h) what with the write offs and the rust you would think wouldn't you? Mind you then we would have to wrap it in cotton wool and not beat up the tarmac on track!!..................

.................. and we migh t then fall foul of the words of Shania "I bet you kiss your car good night" or did she really sing "kiss your c*ck good night"????

ah well what might have been!
