Come on Lewis any more thoughts on these wonderful cars or is it down to me and Enzo to enjoy a Ferrari V12?
Phil.
For now, certainly!
I get the Lotus back tomorrow if I can tax it (off the road for 10 years!) and whether I keep that or not with depend on whether I get the Ferrari. If I don't LOVE the Lotus then it's for the chop and I will suck up the money I have spent on it (£70k'ish) and just move on. The 911 will ostensibly be replaced by the 456 and the Lotus will just go and save me money on insurance and parking fees. So a lot of 'ifs' at the moment, but nothing else in the pipeline. I'd love a 355/360 but just silly to own that and the rest of them. I think the 456 will actually complement the rest of the cars, the DB9 has become the 'sports car' now with it's chassis work, magnetorheological dampers and current 522bhp engine, moving on to the 650bhp engine at the end of the year. It'll be untouchable and hopefully I can dump a few (but not many) kg off the weight as well with some seat changes.
I have fallen out of love with the Marcos so it and the Alfa will go at some point, maybe next summer to fund an XKSS replica in aluminium.
The goal is to have less cars overall for when we buy a house in London and have nowhere to park them. Very forunate having 5 secure spaces where I am!
