The Tesla P100D I had for a bit was about 2.9 sec to 60mph, power was ultra smooth, and completely silent, but boring as **** and car interior fairly cheap and tacky for a £100k+ car....

Doesn't compare to the Renault Megane though.

“With a mere 90 brake-horse-power available, progress is too leisurely to be called fast, but on the motorway in 5th gear the Megane's slow pace really becomes a pain. Uphill runs become power-sappingly mundane, while overtaking National Express coaches can become a long, drawn-out affair.”

Not my words, the words of Top Gear magazine.

Probably sounds slightly cooler when said by an Italian.

Do they still put the chassis number on top of the steering column shroud?

Maybe it does sound better in Itailan but it's written on the dash in English......Nope Superfasr or not still a stupid name.

Sorry to say, as much as I yearn to own a V12 Ferrari, there is still yet to be one that stirs me styling wise like a GranTurismo does.

F599 was close.

It needs to be simple and elegantly styled, I find modern Ferrari a bit too fiddly and overcomplicated. No complaints with the sound of the V12 or the engineering or the interiors.

Whatever you think of Kahn designs, have a look at his video on the Superfast. As well as being funny, it's interesting that even he finds it over-fussy.

Edit - here you go.

Personally, I like it, but I wouldn't want one. It's visually impressive and looks like it's going fast even at standstill, but too in your face for my liking.

While the performance from the V12 is so good, A Ferrari attracts a bit too much negative attention for me. strangely, I still prefer the Granturismo exhaust note, and just like what Conaero said - the styling and the package of it just does not my soul and emotional a Granturismo does.

If I were to win lottery, I think I would prefer the Porsche Carerra GT (haha am I allowed to say that on an Italian exotic car forum?), and still keep my Stradale, or at the price of 812 superfast, you can have 7 Stradale - one colour for each day of the week !

But isn't that the point of Ferraris? New money, showy and blingy, they have lost what they were all about back in the old days when the cars they made were beautiful and elegant (Daytona, Dino, 365 etc)......Now if you want something different you have to go Lambo. That's the thing for me if I am ever in a position to spunk £150k plus on a supercar then it won't be an F car. Lambo is my choice. I have access to Ferraris and drive them quite frequently and they wow me but I can't see myself buying one.

I can heartily recommend the unfussy F12
