Yep. Was a bit of a Renault thing for the Dakar. Guess it stopped the engine sucking in water when you lifted off.

It’s kind of that crossover period between old and modern cars. That Renault is something from the 70s but I think I’m right that 1982 was the Quattro’s year in the WRC.

82 sounds about right, funny how all the other manufacturers all thought that audi were p1ssing in the wind with their 4wd system, they all got a bit it of a shock and that's exactly why ford canned the rwd rs1700t project

that's unusual, looks like the towing motor has a proper tractor unit hook up

Trailer is way too nose heavy, the hydropenumatalystical suspension can't cope and the front is lifting on the towing car!
