A question for Dan re: GT-S MC-shift

Hi Dan,

today I drove a GT-S MC-shift but had problems getting it to stay out of auto. The guy from JCT600 normally sells Bentleys so didn't know how things worked. Basically on my QP you press the M/A button and it goes from auto to manual and stays that way.

On this car there is no similar button that I could see. I pressed the centre "1" button and the "auto" in the central display would flash a bit but never go off. Tried various combinations of paddles/brake/button but couldn't get it to go to manual. Was this car faulty or is there some 'trick". Turned out to be a real pain as it kept on changing up before I really got the engine to sing!

thanks

Simon

You have to think in Italian... If you want it to go into manual mode, you press the button marked AUTO!
After a while the red MCShift text will appear once the gearbox is up to temp, then you're in full on manual mode.

If you did this and it kept changing up, then yes, it'll be a problem car.

As Dan says, you do have to think in Italian. Push the AUTO button to make it manual...

Also just realised, the MCShift text only shows up when you're in SPORT.... mine's always in SPORT :)

thanks for the replies. Can't remember seeing the "auto" button? What does the "1" button do then? (just takes it out of reverse?). OK see it now.
