but on my scanner with the active fault it come up with no symptoms but i cant clear the code.

Anyone have any advice

Googling B1022 comes back as passenger occupancy sensor. So you might want to have a play with the wiring under the seat.

Don’t know about Masers but the pad within the seat sometimes fails on BMWs.

If it was the occupancy sensor in the pad you would expect the seat belt warning to come up whilst driving I would have thought.

Not necessarily. The ECU will do a continuity check, if it fails it, it will come up with an error but not show the seat as occupied.

The above could occur if the pad has failed or if it’s disconnected.

but why not passenger seat code?

Because the airbag system is a regulatory requirement and the seat isn’t.

If I was you I’d disconnect the battery then undo and reconnect all the connectors under the seat. Then see if you can reset the code. If it’s still not fixed you need to get in on a Maserati computer.

Just so you know, if you disconnect the wiring under the seat it throws up an error, but it will clear itself after a few restarts on a GT/QP but not on a 3200/4200.

This should also apply to the rest of the airbag system so whatever you have is a persistent error as its not clearing on a GT/QP.

Im playing with my FOXWELL NT650 at the moment and so far Im not impressed. I will be surprised if it can turn the AIRBAG light off as it doesn't seem to see my car half the time. When it does it gives odd readings Maybe if you have a common car like a BMW or something it may be OK but I think the Maserati is a bit special. In the advertising they mention BUGATTI . That should have been a red light for me. I will persist for awhile but don't hold out much hope. May have to wait for Steves unit. Colin

Instead of trying to read through odb11 go through the second icon abs and sas this will scan the whole car

I've tried it that way and it can't find the airbag system. I think the later cars like yours have a different module . I'll get in touch with foxwell next week but I don't think it covers the early cars despite what they say. Colin
